Mashup

I the Uk this week it was made legal to reuse content to create parody, meaning all those mashups on YouTube are probably safe from take-down notices. I think the mashup is a legitimate art form, and one of my favourites is this very lo-tech one. Lauren LoPrete combines Peanuts cartoons with Smiths lyrics on this Tumblr. The results are something different from either original, and combine pathos and humour. I printed some out to dot around the house. She also has a good record of her legal battles with the record company trying to get her to take them down (Morrissey is a fan though).
