Contemplating the Sunset

It's been long but satisfying day!

I travelled up to Liverpool from Surrey this morning, and spent the afternoon wandering round the Albert Docks and Pier Head in bright sunshine.

I then headed westwards to Crosby Beach. My timing was a bit off as I got caught up with the Liverpool football crowd. They looked quite cheerful, so I guess they won! [they did]

However, I eventually reached the beach, and the purpose of my visit: Another Place, a work of art by Antony Gormley featuring 100 cast iron figures based on moulds taken from the artist’s body. This time my timing was spot on. The tide was just coming in, and there was a glorious sunset.
