and the outside out

Despite having had a significant amount of hair removed from the area around the openings of his ears over the weekend certain persons still appear to be suffering from an unfortunate degree of impermeability to the information gradient existing between the outside world and the inside of their head. I informed them by both email and speech today that a task which was converted from possibly-within-the-next-month-or-so to BY THURSDAY BY ORDER by two consultants at the end of last week will cause some degree of disruption to other tasks already scheduled for this week and that despite not agreeing to complete the task BY THURSDAY it had nevertheless been assumed that everything would be done BY THURSDAY by those who had exhibited similar inabilities to absorb specific data contrary to their requirements when stating their requirement-assumptions. Though it's a book I can't imagine ever being able to read without developing terminal misanthropy I expect that "ignoring anything which doesn't suit your purposes" is one of the Seven Habits of Highly-Successful People in the book I saw a man reading on the train from Glasgow to Ayr once, though as this was a man eating a Burger King meal he probably had further to go than most.
