Friends and family

The day started with a delicious breakfast in Victoria with Kevin and Rachael at All Bar 1, there is a man in uniform who patrols the walkway making sure nobody smokes there, he does it all day apparently!

We had decided to go to Greenwich but the weather was very bad - lots of rain and wind so instead we headed off to the Natural History Museum and bought a Japanese picnic from Wasabi ate it in their picnic area. It was a bit of a mission getting there as the streets were heaving with people.

Gulliver wanted to go to the earthquake room, a Japanese supermarket that shakes it made me feel sick last time but all the kids really enjoyed it then we went to see the massive blue whale, Kaitlyn's jaw literally dropped when she saw it, it's such a great museum, the building itself being the highlight for me.

Max, Gulliver, Rachael, Zebedee, Kaitlyn, James, Lauryn and Ava!
We all enjoyed this glass sculpture, it makes great shadows and shapes when people stand behind it but I wanted everyone's faces!

Kevin and Rachael invited us to stay another night so we ordered in pizzas and watched tv, chatting all the while, the Genesis doc was very interesting!

After too much wine we stumbled off to our lovely room.

When I first returned to London in my 20s after 10 years in Brighton I lived in Victoria, it's a very beautiful area.
