Sunday run

Southbourne was turned into an island this morning, surrounded by a sea of runners competing in the Bournemouth Marathon and Half Marathon. It's definitely not for me, but I admire those who take part, especially those who do so in aid of charity. I was talking to one woman, well into her seventies I would think, who plans to try one of the shorter races next year. She has recently re-started running because her daughter has cancer and she feels that raising money in this way is something she can do to help the situation.
