Celebration - and sadness

This is the augmented choir of the Lord Mayor's Chapel in Bristol, with organist and choirmaster John Marsh. On normal Sundays it is a choir of 8, but today there was a special choral matins for the dedication of the newly rebuilt organ. When we lived in Bristol OB and I were members of the choir, so it was good to be there for the celebration. Both organ and choir were in splendid voice.

This afternoon had to go to a meeting in Frampton Cotterell, not far from where we used to live in Harry Stoke, so afterwards we went to take a look at our old road. Sadness there. We had neighbours called Rose who had a large garden/orchard which they called Rose Acre, as it was. Now it's been replaced by 15 little boxes made of ticky-tacky. And we discovered that Mrs R died just last week. We're sad we'd lost touch, but we will go over to her funeral.
