Medieval Celtic Fusions.

Stepan Honc on guitar and Pavlina Bastlova on recorder and also vocals are part of the five member band Per Kelt from the Czech Republic. They were playing in the city for a while and I was so entranced by their music that I bought their CD which informs us that they use the characteristic sound of historical musical instruments to re-interpret medieval songs in their own way, proving that the spirit of the ancient native Mardania did not die, but has only been asleep. I never imagined that such amazing music could come from a recorder and her singing was akin to an Irish lament. I do hope they come again. Luckily the weather had improved.
