Football and Folk

Met Lucy off the train at 11 and she picked up her new glasses we then went for lunch at Sublyme before racing back to the station for the 1pm train back to Exeter.

Left home at 1.45 with Mr H for the Yeovil v MK Dons match. There's always such a great atmosphere at the match, loads of banter and laughter amongst the season ticket holders in our stand as we cheerfully try to stay positive as defeat after defeat drags us further down the table ! But the sun was shining the Wurzels were singing the Yeovil song and hopes were high !

We lost two nil.

In the evening we went with friends to celebrate 20 years of the "New" Village Hall. The popular local folk band Black Velvet played an evening of folk ballads and singalong songs whilst we ate ploughmans supper and drank cider. Ok ok that last bit was untrue (the cider - we drank Pinot Grigio and the men drank beer ! ) but you get the idea - it was a lovely Devon village affair!

All in all a great day !
