Hands-on & head-on: Drawing with Absent Voices

This weekend saw the fourth Absent Voices Figure Drawing workshop take place at Greenock Art Club. It's also the last one. (Sad face...)
For this session, Rod Miller introduced colour and impressionism. Listening to original music created for Absent Voices by Ryan King and Al Carlisle, the group took in the haunting soundtrack and allowed it to form images in their mind's eye.
Then, the difficult part... transferring this mental picture onto paper using colour pastels, interpreting what was heard into colour and form.
The workshop ended with the group doing some more traditional drawing, but with a much more free hand.
And what dirty hands they had too...
