Class on Cairn Gorm

The summit of Cairn Gorm on a quiet day (!). Our two Summer Mountain Leader instructors Bill and Mark chatting while everyone takes a look at the Herriot Watt weather observatory. Instruments extend from the cylinder every 15 minutes to take readings and send them wirelessly to the University. There is an average wind speed and temeperature chart on the side - 122mph strongest gust for September.
