Raven in the Rain

Up to Birsay. At The Loons bird hide it was quiet, but there was a hen harrier and a peregrine and three redwings in the bushes by the hide. I walked down to The Choin then up the path to the top of Marwick Head where the conditions became very challenging with gale force winds and heavy rain. My waterproof trousers couldn't take it and threw in the towel, which was unfortunate as I could really have used it just then. This raven stood it's ground on the cliff edge. I think it just didn't want to launch into the tough flying conditions. Then one popped it's head up one metre from me and they both took to the air.
