Sheepday

Nobody would send a Blipper out on a day like today. After two big dips in the hydro I’ve decided to post early. It’s getting slightly draughtier. Ferries and flights are non-existent. In an unusual move even the Houton ferry has been cancelled; the Flow is normally ‘benign’ compared to the Firth. However there are now some massive waves below the house being driven by a ferocious wind. Invariably when the sea is agitated the gannets arrive and so it has proved this morning. Their starched white wings are easily discernible against the ink blue sea.

Having been out to feed the kye, sheep, birds, get coal, re-measure the new bath etc we are now hunkered down. Well, not so much hunkered as removing tiles from the bathroom wall.

As for the ‘model’ sheep I’ll need to liaise with CMC. (Who incidentally is about to make a fresh batch of pancakes).
