Endangered White Bellied Frog

This is a photo of part of our small farm at Karridale. When we visited today there was a nice flock of emus grazing on the dandelion flowers. (TRY LARGE)

Running through the middle of the farm is a natural semi-permanent creek.

We have kept the creek with natural bush (e.g. tea tree, melaluca) because the area is home to the tiny and very endangered white belly frog. You can read about him here White Bellied Frog

Today we had visitors from Blackwood Catchment Conservation Group who wanted to come and have a look at our creek line as it is one of the few left natural. They want to assist us fence the creek off from stock so that the frog's habitat is protected.

There are all sorts of frogs along the creek line but the white bellied is tiny and very hard to see. However we have seen them on rare occasions. So no photo of the frog - just the creek and a handful of emus!

Hopefully we can do our bit to help the little frog.
