Riddle in a suitcase

My first is in wishing and also in hope,
My second's in towel and also in soap,
My third is in sleep and also in lie,
My fourth is in fruit and also in pie,
My fifth is in day and also in dark,
My sixth is in boat and also in ark,
My seventh's in yes and also in nay,
My whole is a time to relax and play.

We're off on our travels again tomorrow. Driving to Dover ready for the early ferry on Saturday morning. Then driving to Germany for a few days. Yay! A short trip, but a holiday nevertheless!
