A forbidding entrance

It was rather wet today so a city day rather than a countryside day. We drove to Lancaster and had a look around the city and the maritime museum, then the weather cleared and we drove up to the Lakes.

I was rather surprised to find that Lancaster Castle was now used by the Prison Service and I took this picture for the FB Pic of the Week on the theme of Gates.
