Beautiful Beverley

A very cultured day out in Beverley today for my friend Alison and I, visiting the Minster and St Mary's Church to gape at ceilings, gargoyles and misericords, strolling through the Georgian Quarter and stuffing our faces with cake (of course!).

This is the Chancel Ceiling in St Mary's Church, which dates from 1445. It depicts 40 kings of England, some legendary, some Saxon and some post-conquest.
