One man's trash . . .

is another man's treasure. This little building comes from a small village built by a retired man as a hobby. He made a post office, sheriff's office, church, school, and saloon. Several years ago he passed away and the buildings sat idle. A few months ago his widow decided to move to be nearer to her family, so everything was for sale. Mr M fell in love with this one and bought it. It has taken this long for him to determine how to move it from there to here. So today he and a friend took one of our tractors, and the truck and trailer. Four hours later they arrived here with the building, in a little worse shape than it started. Now his plan is to repair some of the boards and paint it to match our house, then store garden tools in it. I had no strong feeling either way about the building, but Mr M is very pleased.

Luckily the weather was gorgeous today - mild temperatures, sunny skies.
