Shanachies

Today I have been attending a library conference in the Dutch city of Leiden. It's been great to catch up with familiar faces, meet new people and have interesting discussions. One of the highlights of today's conference was the opportunity to see the Shanachies live. Erik Boekesteijn and Jaap van der Geer both work at the Delft public library. They are famous in the library world for touring libraries to discuss best practices and sharing their experiences on film with us all. I got to see them live today and even sit with one of them at dinner! How cool is that?! Did you realise that there could be groupies in the library world?!?
