The Tuakau river bridge.

This bridge over the Waikato river is the bridge closest to the mouth of the river.The river is N.Z's longest and flows from our North Island mountains to the Tasman sea quite near my farm. This bridge we always had to cross on our journey to town...and we always felt good when we crossed back over heading away from town to the peaceful hills. I was back in the area to attend a funeral of an old farming identity who had helped me a lot when we built the local theatre. His time had come.
