A day of extremes.

This morning Rita picked me up and we went to Merton Crematorium for our friend James' funeral, he was only 49 and died instantly from an embolism resulting in cardiac arrest quite out of the blue at the Gym.
We met our friends Anita and Gordon and stood with them for the service, all in tears, it was a beautiful funeral with readings from James' brother in law, best friend and from his wife Shena, they were all so moving and everyone was full of admiration for the way Shena read hers with such strength, composure and dignity only crying at the very end as she sat down, I really don't know if I could do the same.
We also saw friends Aquilla and Steve Davies and Adam Evans and Micahel Gray and Jon Pearn, everyone is so shocked and so sad.
Shena and her son Tyler who is 7 released doves and then we all went to a pub in Cheam for the wake, they had a very nice buffet and although sad it was a lovely event and a great send off for James.
When Shena is ready we will get together and have a proper talk, she is a lovely lady, such rotten luck, life just isn't fair.

Then I got the train to Angmering where my very dear friend of 30 years Sarah was having a 50th Birthday weekend, she organised an amazing listed 70's house for us to stay in called Vista Point, amazing place right on the beach, check it out! Along with a fe friends we had a riotous evening full of fun, laughter, singing, chatting and lovely food and wine. Top to bottom we have Jojo, Annalisa, Charlotte, Sarah and me, we also had Sarah's partner Davey, David the dj, Iain and (can't remember his name) Jojo's boyfriend, we stayed over, it was a great event, Happy birthday Sarah xxx
