Friends forever

Twenty-five years ago a group of UK comic fans of DC Comics characters the Legion of Super-Heroes got together to produce a fanzine, Apa 247. Every two months the membership - usually around 30 at any one time, there have been 64 people involved over the years - wrote reviews, stories, commented on previous mailings, drew pictures...

And here lots of us are, 150 mailings later, having a celebration dinner with indulgent partners at Blanc's Bistro on London's South Bank - including EdiSteve. And we barely talked comics at all, that's what the mailings are for.

But I can't resist echoing the motto of the 31st century's greatest super-team - LONG LIVE ThE LEGION!
