Autumn glory...

... in the morning sunshine.

I acquired this tree for 25p from the garden department at a DIY store almost 7 years ago. It was a tiny twig in the 'clearance' section - smaller than the label declaring it to be a miniature cherry tree (Prunus). A little tlc and it's thrived - about a metre tall, covered in pale pink flowers in early spring and red leaves in autumn, it really is a lovely little tree.

It spent 3 years in a pot in my small courtyard garden, and we planted it out when we moved to the Borders. Now we're hoping to move again, and I can't bear to leave it behind. So plans are afoot to plant it in to a very large pot before too long...

Now, never mind this glorious autumn weather! Let's get on with those accounts...
