head explodes with excitement!

Any Northern Exposure fans out there?

I have to admit to being a bit dim - it hadn't occurred to me that all of the insides would be different to how they were on the programme, but the outsides are all still the same! We walked around the town and took in the sights - the KBHR studio, Ruth-Ann's store, the Brick, Joel's surgery and of course, the Roslyn cafe sign. So exciting!

Then we drove out to the coast - a long route, about 270 miles in total, past Mount Rainier and out to the Washington/Oregon border. Long day, lots of scenery, rivers, mountain passes, forests, snow-covered peaks, flat-bottomed valleys, farms, small towns, industrial ports (with massive lumberyards and trees stored in the rivers!), and eventually made our way to Seaside, Oregon.
