Free food!

Now the leaves have fallen from the rowan trees their berries are revealed for all (but especially the birds) to see. There isn't much other food for the birds at this time of year so there's a lot of feeding activity.
On a day like today, damp and drizzly with no wind, parts of the tree suddenly shiver into movement as birds land, grab the berries and tug hard. They are hard to see and don't stay long. There's one bird in this image, though a whole flock were around.
