Corbassiere valley - glacier and suspension bridge

Classic Haute Route Day 6 - a short day from Cabanne Brunet to the Pannassiere Hut, via the Corbassiere glacier and the Plan Gali. There are great views of the Grand Combin from the refuge.

The bridge in the background is relatively new built from old ski lift parts. It is the Passarelle Corbassiere which bridges the ravine at the mouth of the Corbassiere Glacier and saves a deal of time and difficult walking to get to the hut. This glacier extends up into the Combin massif. The bridge moves pretty easily and sits 70 up - not one for the faint hearted!
