Girls' weekend

My daughter asked to have 3 of her friends join her for a weekend at the beach in celebration of her 14th birthday. It was a treat to eaves drop on genuine from-the-belly laughter all weekend, and a tricky balance to strike between being a responsible chaperone and a keep-your-distance, respect-their-privacy annoying MOTHER . . . the necessary evil! But all went well and they had a blast . . . in spite of the presence of their elder :-)
