houndstooth pattern.

Yet again Mother Nature reveals her ability to design and create amazing patterns. These patterns in the sand look the houndstooth patterns one might find in a tweed sports coat. There are a mixture of black and white grains of sand on the beach.... but how come they are arranged in patterns such as this ?!!
