Narumi Festival: Evening

Nomak - Force For Truth

After a big night out I spent most of the day with friends, chilling out and getting over a cold. Had a lovely lunch at an Indian restaurant to which my friend reserved a table. We chatted and caught up on news.

Later in the evening we met some other friends at the Narumi festival. I came here two years ago and it's still as magical. Groups in the local community pushed their floats, adorned with tonnes of lanterns and people playing music in them, around town. I sometimes forget why I'm living in Japan and this is one of those reasons. Routine and work sometimes makes you lose sight of your own joy.

It was great seeing people upholding beautiful traditions.
