Magic In The Macro

This unusual weed has sprung up in every nook and cranny in my area. They are like a giant dandelion and I've picked a few over the past week to see how they look when they pop open.

They are different to dandelions and the outer skin is very tough and prickly. The seeds have a heavy duty patterned stem and a really big top knot which will easily catch the wind and take it to faraway places!

As its my 700th blip today I thought I would devote it to my favourite view, the macro! :) I've had some of these popped in a plastic container since last week and so after work with the sun streaming in the kitchen window I had my way with the macro!

Loved the results, took heaps of shots and found it hard to choose in the end! :)
