A view from The Kirkcaldy Galleries

The foreground flowers are outside the recently refurbished Library and Art Gallery while the building in the background is the former Station Hotel once significant when the town of Kirkcaldy was a flourishing Scottish Burgh. Now the town centre has been evacuated to a Consumer Park on the fringes where new and fairly unattractive housing is being thrown up. The Station Hotel seems to wilt unloved, unwanted and unsaleable contrasting with the flowers which have within themselves the seeds of their future.
