Last night's kitchen experiment.

Rose hip soup. A Swedish speciality.

I harvested a big bunch of rose hips while out walking on Sunday - the big ones you get from the roses growing on the beach - and took my courage in both hands last night.

To be fair to myself it is delicious. It can be eaten hot (last night) or cold (tonight) and as a dessert - it's sweet. The Swedes would serve it with almond biscuits, but I haven'y had time to track those down.

All for the price of a few spoonfuls of sugar.
