Teddy Bear Sleepover

There was a teddy bear sleepover in the library last night, yesterday evening a group of children came in for crafts and bedtime stories and then left their teddy bears to sleep over in the library. I missed all the fun last night but there was plenty of evidence of the fun the teds had had when I nipped in this morning to return a book,wouldn't do for the staff to be chased for late returns! The children are in for a shock when they come to collect their bears - stills from the security cameras show the bears spent the night having a ball, sliding down the bannister of the spiral staircase, climbing bookshelves, there's evidence that there was some high jinx with the photocopier and bottoms were copied. They even appear to have taken the library van for a spot of joyriding, fingers crossed that there are no repercussions from the police. This pair would appear to have stayed up all night reading!

Both children had activities today so we got stuck into some of the chores that needed to be done and had been avoided for months, it was just lovely to be able to do things that needed to be done without clock watching. Maybe we'll try for a bit more excitement tomorrow!
