The answer to Jean's Dilema?

Once upon a time there was a cafe on King Street - "Jeans".
Jean, eventually, retired and it was taken on by a couple of lasses who thought they could fill Jean's shoes. Not a celluloid cat in hell's chance-they soon expired (Well the shop did).
In 2012 it looked like this. Later it became an adjunct to "Edward's". Haven't been past for a while must check if that info is current.
Anyway - to the Blip.
Jean's husband, alias "The Electric Mann" (His trade + Surname) wouldn't let her "do" a slice of toast, on the grounds that it did the other, unused, slot a power of no good having nothing to work on.
Since "The Leader" is partial to a slice of toast many a time when I'm not I get round the problem by using "the dummy". First time it's a slice of bread, thereafter it's wetted, and drip dried, before insertion and lasts for many turns. It has, as you can see, somewhat deleterious effects upon said dummy, but I haven't knackered a toaster, prematurely ... --- ... yet.
