Tooth & Claw

Not willing
to turn the other cheek,
no way!

but wondering if it’s best
to turn your back, to bide
your time

and allow
the sarcastic and snide
to go unanswered, for now?

Some said things are
like water
off a duck’s back.

Some stick to the fur.

Perhaps now
is the time for
tooth and claw.
