I was up at the crack of dawn to Skype Ma before she went to work - it's her birthday! Happy birthday my love!

From there I ended up having a pretty lazy morning, mainly due to G's long lie in. We had a walk into Taunton, only just beat the rain. Had a good charity shop browse and spent aaaages in Waterstones.

Picked up some gubs for lunch then headed back home - this time the rain caught us. We spent the afternoon making spiced pumpkin soup and red onion focaccia for dinner.

At about 4, the sun came out! First time we've seen it since Saturday, so we grabbed some wellies and went for a walk in the countryside.

Back for dinner, then a bath, then The Apprentice with a slice of apple cake.
