Edinburgh Exchange 2014

Loch Lomond, Scotland

Today we made our way back to Edinburgh with a slight hiccup. Our plans soon turned to dust as we found out that we were stuck on Skye for a further 3 hours due to strong winds closing the only bridge off the island and forcing all ferries to stop.

Instead of waiting in the hotel we decided to go do some escape hunting and headed to the ferry terminal where we were told that they wouldn't be running for another 3.5 hours! Quickly scraping that plan we headed back onto the road towards the bridge to be met with a huge line of cars and police informing everyone that in an hour the bridge would open.

Finally we made it off the island and were on our way back to Edinburgh - 3 hours behind schedule. Along the way we made a quick stop at Loch Lomond as a break from being in the car for so long. Fortunately the weather was much better than Skye, sunny with only a slight bit of wind.

After a short break we were back on the road and cut through Glasgow before finally dropping the car back at the dealership and heading back to campus.

The weekend was exhausting and slightly stressful but well worth it.
