The GP has put the Smallest Boy on a new course of antibiotics and prescribed a new cream. So still no school and again we're told he should be better in 48hrs.

The washing machine repair man came to look at my beloved Miele washing machine as it has been making a 'scrapy' noise. I assumed something caught in the drum but turns out it was the motor and we were lucky not to have burnt the house down. £350 + labour for a new motor or a new machine altogether. Oh and he wouldn't put the machine back together as it could catch fire any minute!
