A visit to the Threkeld Mining Museum on the first day of my photo workshop last week was completed by a few purchases of minerals from the shop, including this Agate slice. In lieu of a light box, I used my iPad screen as a light source, with one of my photos from the week as a backdrop to take this close-up study
