Peek a Boo Heron

Today I had a golden opportunity for an excellent close up shot of a Great Blue Heron.

He was fishing behind a weir on Amazon Creek.

I very nonchalantly strolled in a big loop doing an end run on the weir.

No way he could see me when I turned back so that I could sneak up on him on the other side of the weir.

I was the essence of stealth as I carefully placed my feet so as not to make a sound.

When next I looked up…
