Life in a Northern Town

Salford Quays

Sarah and I had a jaunt to the Imperial War Museum North this morning, a favourite place to visit for us.

We went up to the observation tower, from which the views were amazing - even over Coronation Street, but even for non-acrophobics it is a hairy experience with the rickety lift and metal grille floor <<shudder>>.

After a spot of lunch the skies had turned threatening, but I think they suit this wonderful building that way. Very Metropolis.

That's another Friday adventure for us - next Friday, Berlin; the following Friday, Nottingham to collect the prodigal son for his first visit back home.

Ps - there is a Cadbury's outlet shop on the Quays. Much chocolate purchased.
