Open the lock gates...

I had a little wander along the canal towpath at Knowle this morning and I arrived just in time to see this little boat exiting the lock. Most people see boating as a summer pursuit, but boats these days have good heating systems which means the season can be extended in to spring and autumn. The colours of the trees and fields will make a wonderful sight for these intrepid voyagers.
