Welcome Rude Awakening

This picture was taken too late to catch the magic of the sunrise apparently, having been asleep through most of the magic I was wakened to join in the the wonderful sight, so half asleep I grabbed the camera and snapped the bright white light, then went back for the graduated filter, that worked out much better and this was the result.

After a sleep, the weather had deteriorated and we headed out in extremely changeable conditions to Waipapa Point, home to sea lions, waves and a lighthouse. The grey sky rendered my efforts at capturing the waves pretty much useless but there's a pretty nice one of some wash on the rocks here.
