New Zealand Native Pigeon.

PJ spotted this Pigeon sitting out in the Kanuka tree in front of our house.
I thought I had posted this before, but somehow it isn't there.
Did a walk today, checking out a Department of Conservation track for taking people to. We go past Putanui Point on our way to Havelock from the Kenepuru Sound, and have known for years that there is a walk from the Kenepuru side to the Mahua side, plus a walk out to the point. Took me 1 hour & 25 minutes. Very well worth doing, a good track and it is well maintained, and boat access only. And it isn't too steep!! No dogs allowed as they are doing a pest eradication programme, so there are bait stations along the track.
On the way back, the Spotted Shags were back again on the shore line where they had been last year. Lets hope they stay there.
After doing the walk, PJ got into the garden, to do some pruning - Yes!! with the chainsaw.
