Another cornerrock of Crete and this slope of Stavros must be well remembered by all who watched the movie Zorba the Greek as from here the treetrunks were rolled down - the older villagers still remember the filmcrew here in the early 60-ies

got to Stavros to meet the son of my koumbara and while waiting him at the coffeeshop I talked dutch to the sweet dog that lay at my feet... talking dutch triggered the customer next to me; also dutch. living here since 10 yrs and growing grapes for making excellent tsikoudia (I tasted a whee drop)
