We went to friends Finola and Robert's exhibition opening in Ballydehob, part of the Culture Festival there.
Finola and Robert are experts in prehistoric rock art and actually met through their shared passion for the subject. Finola has been responsible for recording and drawing many of the examples in Ireland and Robert has used his skills as an architect to create sophisticated drawings of some of the best sites in West Cork.
We had given some help with the text to accompany their exhibition and had a great time listening to them describing their work. Later we listened to a string quartet in a pub called O'Mahony's but known as O'Brien's (don't ask) and then to the 'Eileen and Marilyn Experience' which certainly was an experience from very talented and amusing performers.
