#Sicily Rocks

Up before the crack of dawn and at the ferry terminal in Valletta by 5:30 am to get the high speed catamaran to Sicily. Watched the sun rise over the Mediterranean on the journey north and arrived on Italian soil by quarter past eight.

Panoramic view from upper deck front seats on super air conditioned coach and where the road runs out at 1800m then there's the cable car to around 2200m.

Here there is black lava sand, volcanic gravel and rocks that crunch underfoot in the shadow of the peak of Europe's most active volcano. Here I am playing with rocks.

An evening in the lovely town of Modica before hitting the late night catamaran back to Malta.
