The Crinkle Crankle Walls

Taken on a weekend with my son and daughter in law who live in St. Albans. They took us to the pretty village of Wheathampstead where there are lots of historic and interesting buildings. This is a section of the Grade 2 listed Victorian Crinkle Crankle wall which was curved for strength.

We also visited Devil's Dyke, an ancient defensive ditch from the time of the Roman Invasion. I saw a number of different types of fungi there which was great.
