A great day out on the Northumbrian coast. Walked a bit of the St. Oswald's Way and had lunch at the lovely National Trust village of Low Newton By The Sea.

Bamburgh castle dominates the local landscape. The core of it is Norman but there have been fortifications on the site since the earliest human times.
