Kuirau Park

I so appreciate being able to wander through the most amazing thermal areas in the world, right in our town. Kuirau Park is in the centre of town, beautiful gardens and trees and some great thermal ponds, all open to the public at no charge.

In town this afternoon for the "hair cut", it was quite cloudy so popped into Kuirau park with my camera. There is such a mystical air to this place with the steam rising up off the water, just so enjoy it. Chose this one for my blip, with the orange mineral waters in the shallows of the pond changing colour in the deeper area where the surrounding trees were reflected.
