Entry 41 - Kilmainham Gaol

Last day in Dublin today, so we went to see the Jail - every time I have been to Dublin before we haven't managed to go. It was really good, well worth the visit, although as an English person, couldn't help but feel mortified....

This was a letter from Joseph Plunket to his fiancé before he was executed by the British. I was so moved in that place it was unbelievable, and then reading this it took effort to keep emotions in check.

Strongly recommended if you are ever in Dublin.
